Finishing Touches

This cozy Pacific Grove, CA bungalow needed a few specific elements to pull everything together. Adding colorful drapery side panels that incorporated two solid colored fabrics, coordinating pillows for comfortable design interest, and a custom double layer table cloth with fringe was just what was needed.

Optimum Arrangement

Positioning the baby grand behind the sofa created a more intimate gathering area for this world traveler's home in Carmel by the Sea, CA. This arrangement also took advantage of better Feng Shui energy and enjoyment of the fireplace. A small cocktail bar was then able to be added as well.

Always interested in the architecture and the structuring of spaces, I have assisted in designing artistic interiors in hundreds of homes and businesses, both new construction and remodel projects. I use a hands-on approach backed by years of creative experience starting with a BA in interior design and a MA in art. But it is my incredible intuitive sense of knowing what is needed, often before the client does, that has been my greatest gift.

One of a kind Tuscan home in Clint Eastood's Tahama development outside of Monterey, CA demanded a spectacular bay window treatment. The other windows in the room used the same fabric but required a completely different application. Everything pulled together beautifully, wouldn't you agree?

Unique Ideas

The developer of Las Palmas Ranch, outside Salinas CA, had a very awkward area in the guest bedroom between the closet and wall. Their special wish was to create a whimsical space for grandchildren to enjoy. This inspired the canopied reading niche, the drawing of which illustrated the idea to the client and workroom. What a wonderful spot to isolate and fantasize. The canopy features a rose applicated voile semi-sheer fabric artfully combined with other fabrics throughout the room.

On-Site Residential Home Consultation:

If you rent or own, no place is too big or too small to profit by a consultation. Smaller spaces may be evaluated during a one-time home visit. Homes however require full reporting documentation on all the findings which will include long and short-term advice.

On-Site Business Property Evaluation:

Energetic imbalances in the work place cause stress, tension and low energy often making the business accident prone and unprofitable. A harmonious environment brings a sense of peace that will boost morale, improve work performance and cooperative relationships thus increasing your employee fulfillment, customer satisfaction and wealth potential.

Annual Tune-ups for Existing Clients:

Energy is not stagnant, and circumstances change so an annual tune-up is highly recommended each New Year.

Local & Long-Distance House Hunting Evaluation:

With knowledge of the occupants, a rough floor plan and a compass reading (which can usually be obtained on Google Earth) a remote evaluation can be made. So often having the address and real estate listing information is all that is needed for a thumbs up or down when deciding between homes.

Design Phase, Landscape and Remodeling:

Working with the client and architect before plans are finalized ensures that you can benefit the most from your new or remodeled space.
